Dr Sir

Your last kind favor was duly Receiv'd
for which Return many thanks -- I should have administred
the Mosck as You desired but some Circumstances have Interven
which think so very Material as to trouble You again in so short
a time -- when I wrote You last she was very Poorly the
Pain in her Stomach & Bowells Rather Increasing -- as she is
naturally Costive I had made her up A Box of Pills to take Every
Morning with Extract Gentian -- Rhubarb & ginger -- a very great
Itching about the Fundament gave us a Strong Suspicion of
Worms and upon Examining the Stools - we saw some of the
Ascarides kind -- this is about A Week ago -- and she has been
better these last 7 days than she has been these 2 Years ---
Every Stool has Worms in it -- One this Morning Appeard
Almost Alive -- I submit with Respect to Your better Judgement
but am Inclin'd to think Every Symptom she has been afflected
with may be brought on by Numbers of these Irritating & destructive
Animals
, I can safely say I have seen Many People much
Worse than Ever Mrs C. has been -- Entirely from Worms

[Page 2]

We have Continued the Pills -- and Wish for Your Approbation
& Advice in pursuing A Course of Anthelmicks that is, if
Your Opinion Coincides -- & as during Your long & Immense
Practice Many Such Cases must have Occurrd -- if it is not too
much trouble shoud Esteem it as A particular favor -- if You
would hint What form of Medecine You think most Effica¬
cious in Such Complaints -- Considering her Natural Constitution
and Other Complaints with which You are perfectly Acquainted
It gives me much Pain to trouble You so often - knowing how
very Busy You Always are but I trust in Your goodness for an
Excuse & beg Leave to Subscribe Myself

Your Obliged & Respectfull
Servant
