All places associated with a document have been logged. These include places of writing, destination of letter, places mentioned or therapeutic recommendations (places patients are advised to visit for their health). For mapping purposes places are categorized from the very specific (a private house or business address) up to national and global regions. Streets rarely had numbering at this period: house-names or, in cases of multiple-occupancy, building-names are the norm. Places often have variant spellings.
