Mr Crawford has been Oserved by his Acquaintances to
have ↑been↑ much subject to a cough particularly in the winter time
but of this he will give you a better account himself - He was
however never so ill as to need medical assistance till the year
1775 when he was seized with symptoms of a pleuroperipneumonia
he was bled and otherwise traited in the common way, and perfectly
recovered -- He remained free of any of these complaints except occasi¬
onally the cough till December, 83, when he had Evident symptoms of
a Pulmonic Affection, a wizing troublesome cough - An uneasiness and
weight in the breast, a languor and weakness upon much motion, or
mounting upstairs &c. his pulse was always above 80 most commonly
90 and sometimes 100 -- By taking care of himself and by medical
assistance he got better -- Some weeks ↑since↑ he has begun to complain, and
was observed by his friends to look ill -- his pulse was 90, and he
has been of late twice bleed and his blood was very sizy -- It has
been strongly recommended to him to go abroad, -- & your Opinion as to
this matter is requested --- He will himself be more full when ques¬
tion are asked.
