The enclosed I received this day ---
in answer to the Doctors letter I can answer
him that my age is about 62 and my former
maner of life you can prittey well inform him
which has been verrey regular, and that I scarce
had any complant till now, but a Ciatick in
my right leg, which I have been now & then troble
with for near 20 years, but which entirely went off
before this swelling cam on Since I begun the
new Diuretick wine I think that the swelling
is a little better but onley those 2 Days next
& the Diuretick Quality a little increasing; the
Swelling a little better in the morning but not
much better at night -- The swelling on the Scro¬
tum
the Same as it was, I would pain think that
it is a little better in the morning, tho still the
same at night. I am not in the least Constipat
and rather the other way, tho (↑↑) I think [that secy?]
to be no use for [aney?] laxative at present -- My
braithing, I think, some what better, I shall be
glad to see you when convenient and from the
Above you can write the Dr. & satisfy him in
what he wants to be informed and of I am Dear Sir
