Sir
It is with extreme concern that I acquaint you of
the death of my Uncle Mr Chamier, which happened
yesterday morning, the body has been opened, and
I will now copy the report which has been made
to me as I judge you will wish to have it --
" Upon opening the body of A. Chamier [Esq.?], I found
" all the abdominal Viscera in a State of mortification,
" the Cavity of the Abdomen was filled with water,
" and the Stomach and Intestines were much relaxed
" and distended with Air. There was a quantity
[Page 2]
" of Matter in the Cavity of the Abdomen, which
" seemed to proceed from Disease of the Omentum
-----
I have the honor to be with
great Esteem
Sir
Your most obedient
humble Servant
