Since I had the pleasor of seing
you att Edinburgh in Agust last, I will be very fond
to hear that this find you, your Lady and
Famaly in Perfect health.


My Daughter Conforms to your Disir used
your Pills, the first Course, then intermited
a fortnight & then began the Second fortnight
to take them, only forgot them on night,
being so bad Tasting hurt hir & hurt
hir Stomack, she then took the Draught
with the Muchken of Water & 3 Spounfols
as directed, the first time, & it did Purge hir
prety much
, then used only 2 Spounfulls
& that iust did very well, as the direction
ordred tuo difrant times, which is all she
his taken, for it, used hir very like, that she
was oblidged to Drink water to Clin hir Stomake
She is stil yousing the Cold Bath with some
Warm water amongs itt; as she is not
reccovred, but slips beter and I
