Mr Taylor Concerning Mr Neilson vid. p. 7.
Much puzled how to account for his
Complaints--
I blame the weather &c.
I still think them of the Rheumatic
kind and I hope good weather
proper Exercise and the medicine
ordered below
will give him relief.
With the Dose of his medicine
you may give him 15 drops of T.T.
and unless some effects occur which
I do not expect, you may go on
increasing the T.T.
as you shall see occasion for several nights
together, balancing between the Mixtures Opening &
the T.T.
binding
I expect no benefit from Issues
& for
the Electricity
its effects are
always a little precarious & it may be put off for some time -
Take an ounce-and-a-half of the best Gum Guiaiac, three ounces of refined sugar then slowly add an ounce of thick Muscilage of Gum Arabic and a drachm each of diacodium syrup and Antimonial Vinegar; three drachms each of pure Cinnamon and Rose Water. Mix. Label: Diaph. Mixture a table spoonful per Dose at bedtime, Shaking the Phial always very well before pouring it out -
