I am heartily sorry for your distress
and do believe that these frequent sweatings
must affect your strength very much. The same
{illeg} I expect your relief from I have
prescribed on the other page, which you can
cut off and give to Mr. Stuart, and wishing
you very heartily relief I am

For Capt. Macpherson

Take half an ounce of Powder of peruvian bark, one drachm of powder of crushed Cinnamon and one pound of boiling water. Let it digest for twenty-four hours, and strain using a woolen cloth. Label: Strengthening Infusion; two tablespoons to be taken four times a day.

Take three ounces of Water of roses, half an ounce of Syrup of dried roses and half an ounce of Spirit of sweet Vitriol. Mix. Label: Cooling mixture; a small teaspoon to be taken with every dose of the infusion.
