Mr Handyside

Sir

I am favoured with yours concerning
Mr. Handyside but by failing to send in time
by the fly yesternight this letter comes a day
later than I intended.

I am obliged to you for your information
but it has come a little sooner than I expected
for my prescriptions have answered as well
as I expected but and they have not yet
been tried long enough to make me think of any
other advice. Please go on to try the sweating
for three or four times more at least while
he bears it as well as he has hitherto done
and in the intervals continue the infusion
as hitherto and about a fortnight hence you
may give me another report though I by
no means forbid it to come sooner if any thing
new occurrs. I am glad to fear that Mr.
Handyside [has a good?] Stomach [but?]

[Page 2]

I earnestly beg of him to be moderate in the
quantity and to choose the lighter kinds of
Animal food. With Compliments and best
wishes to Mr. Handyside and my respects
to Mrs. Cokayne I am

Sir
Your most obedient Servant
