Dear Sir

I am glad to think that Miss Ellison
has got over a bad season tolerably well and though the cold
weather is not yet quite over I hope it will be soon.

The prescription I gave her here for the complaint you
mention was I think the following

Take one ounce of Elixir proprietas vitriolicum and two drachms of Laudanum. Mix. Label: Stomachic Drops, fifty for a dose to be taken on a bit of sugar.

This at least is what I have often prescribed in
such cases and often with advantage. With respectfull
Compliments to her I am as always
