Dear Dr:

I am sorry to find your accounts of Mr. Drysdale
not so favourable as those I had got from other hands.
I was told he had been greatly the better of his Voyage
but I must trust to you and as you say his disease
increases I think he has no chance but in another
Voyage and a warmer Climate for the winter. I have
no faith in the Mercurial Course and I think
it is only leasing time. Tell him from me that
I think he has no chance for life but in setting
out immediately by Sea for a Southern Climate
Both he and you have the best wishes of

Sir
Your most Obedient Servant
