For Mrs Cockayne

Tho the Aloetic pills do not seem to prevent the pains
yet if there is any costiveness commonly preceeding
the Period, the Pills must not be omitted.

As the Glysters and Opium give so much relief they
must be continued & if the Opiate is employed only upon
these occasions I am persuaded that they cannot hurt
her constitution. Her lowness & weakness is owing
to the Evacuation. When it is attended with less pain
it will be moderate & I hope she will get more Strength.
In the mean time carrying her abroad is a proper measure
& she should take gentle exercise on horseback as often
as the weather will allow of it. The Coagula you
mention should give no uneasiness for they are of no
consequence.
