Dr Wemyss Concerning Mr Spears


I am so much of your opinion that we can only palliate
in Mr Spears Case that I choose as in all such Cases to please
his friends as well as I can & would therefore gratify them
& put a seton in his neck. I am persuaded it can do no harm
tho his habit is not full now, it is naturally disposed to be so
& it is much to be suspected that there is now fullness about
the Brai Brain than were to be wished - Tho this is to
be suspected I cannot insist in pursuing the Purgative Course
formerly proposed & I think it quite enough to keep his
belly open with the mustard -------
