For Mr Sturrock


Riding to be continued but to make the whole days journey before
dinner. If that is not convenient the evening ride should not be
taken till two or three hours after dinner. --


Solution to be taken laid aside for a month or six weeks. After
that if a Laxative is necessary the Solution will answer as
well or better than any thing else. ----


While the Solution is omitted, if costiveness come on it
should be obviated either by a table Spoonfill of unbruised
white mustard
taken once or twice a day or by the use
of the Electuary formerly prescribed -------


Vegetables young & tender may be taken frequently
with meat, but always in moderate quantities.
Bitters improper at present. ----


The issue to be continued.


Milk to be taken sparingly & perhaps only when diluted with
an equal part of water or Water Gruel well sweetened with sugar


Bathing hazardous ------- The Arbroath mineral waters
disagree with such Stomachs -----
