Mrs Dalrymple --

I have considered all the circumstances of Mrs
Dalrymples case and am sorry to observe that it is
a very unfavourable one. It is ↑such↑ from all ist symptoms, but
more certainly still from its having already resisted the
most judicious and effectual remedies, which could
have been employed. All I can propos now is to advise
persisting in the Palliative Anodyne Course, you are
engaged in. You may try to {illeg} the Anodyne
by employing the Hyoscyamus; but I bleive your
dependance must be upon the Opiate commonly as
as given by the mouth, but some times, it will be
more secure to give it by Injection, and you may
possbly find some benefit of the Theriaca applied
to the stomach which should not only be renewed
from time to time, but be moistend twice a' day with
Anodyne Balsam or Tincture Thebaica. I am sorry
I can say no more, but wishing you all possible
success.
