For Mr Russell ----


1 After resting - 1 day at home let him be blooded at the
arm to 10 or 12 ounces & if in 8 days after, the night
heats are not considerably abated let him be blooded
again.


2. The day after the bleeding, begin the following Course.
Let him take 2 tablespoonfulls of the cooling Solutions
ordered below & mix it with a Mutchkin of water & this
is to be drank at 3 or 4 draughts before breakfast.
It is intended that this should give him 1 stool every day
& if either more or less, diminish or increase the
solution


3. This Course requires no confinement on the contrary
every fair day gentle exercise, walking, riding Carriage
&c. avoiding cold or damp or night air


During that course abstain entirely from animal food
& live on milk, grain & other vegetables, avoid all
spiritous or fermented liquors


For the [scalding?] - about the neck of the glans, work
the parts every Morning & Evening for several days
with the lotion below; after he need used only with the
parts appear to be tender & fitted

Take two ounces of soluble tartar, one ounce of polychrest salts and eight of spring water; dissolve and strain using the paper. Label it as aperient solution.

Take four ounces of rose water, two drachms of vinegar distillate and one scruple of sugar of lead; dissolve and strain using the paper. Label it as cooling lotion.
