Mr Andrew Concerning Mrs Gillies

I am sorry she has made so little progress towards a recovery, but I think your
account of the state of things very favourable. I like the Electuary warming her &
therefore continue it. Repeat the Physic, but if the purging sinks her, you may lessen
the Dose. If her arm and leg continue much affected I would apply a blister on the arm
between the shoulder & elbow on the inside & after this is healed if the leg continue affec¬
ted I would also apply a blister there. In the mean time dont neglect the Flesh brush and
continue the Regimen ordered & particularly let her have a little Wine unless great
heat or great aversion forbids it. If the Sypmtoms do not mend soon, we
must think of Electricity & I believe I can procure you the loan of a
Machine.
