Tho much recovered he must be very cautious &
abstain from all Animal food & strong drink
Cow milk mixd with an equal part of water gruel
& brown sugar -- this with bread Rice &c &c
he may take fruit & garden things in Season.
this Diet till next Summer.
Drink plain water. Water Gruel or Barley Water.
Whey or butter milk.
Much on horseback riding gently but a jour¬
ney of 30 or 40 miles frequently of advantage
No violent bodily exercise ---
To gaurd against cold - a flannel Shirt next
his skin -- night & day - & in winter add a flannel
waistcoat. Avoid all damp & wet. Any stream
of air, much heat either by exercise or warm rooms
or near the fire - hardly go abroad in Winter
