Nothing now but weakness & lassitude in thighs & legs & even
that considerable. Your Diet & manner of life very proper.
Tho you've been the better of the former medicines, need not cont¬
inue the Electuary for most medicines lose effect when continued long;
but as in your first letter you say you are threatened with some
falling off of appetite at least for animal food, & your retentive
faculty somewhat impaired, you [might?] sometimes take a stomach
ic
& strengthening medicine -- below -- which you may begin when you
return from New Castle Intermit the drops for a week or two
but may take them some days when ever suspicious of
appetite falling off. Continue flesh brush, especially
in the morning Let alone Porter. Gruel for breakfast
better than tea or coffee

Take one ounce of powdered leaf of Bearberry, half an ounce of Peruvian Bark prepare two drachms Steel, one drachm grated Nutmeg, one ounce Conserve of roses, a sufficient quantity of simple Syrup so as to make an Electarium. Label: Strengthening Electuary bigness of a filbert, twice a day an hour before dinner & supper, washing down with water & drops as before
