For Mr George Fullarton
Take half an ounce of crushed Peruvian Bark, two drachms of Cinnamon and eight drachms of French brandy. Macerate for two hours, then pour into one pound and seven ounces of boiling water. Let steep {illeg} overnight and sieve. Label: Stomachic Infusion half a gill to be taken 3 times a day.
Take two ounces of Crystal Tartar, two scruples of powdered Jalap, and one ounce of the best Manna. Pour in a sufficient quantity of hot water to dissolve the Manna and make a weak electuary. Label: Signa Laxative Electuary two or three tea spoonfuls to be taken in the morning.
