For Mr Chisholm of Wooller


Low diet, Exercise on horseback, & a warm bath twice a week.

Take a drachm each of Gum Guaiacum and White Sugar, and 6 grains of Tartar Emetic. Rub together thoroughly, then a drachm of powder of Russian Castor and enough Gum Arabic paste as to make a mass to be divided into pills of 4 grains each. Label: Aperient Pills three or four for a dose at bedtime –
