Mr. Surtees, the Gentleman, who will
deliver this Letter, is desirous of your assistance
for a disorder, the spasmodic asthma, which
he has had frequent Returns of for this last
Twelvemonth –– By the advice of Dr. Pemberton
he has been bled, taken an Emetic, and us'd
very constantly opening Pills with a Portion of Gum:
Ammoniac: join'd to them; at the same time taking
very small doses of paregoric Elixir – I refer
you to himself for a particular account of his
Feelings preceding & during the Fit; and I hope
that from your Prescription he will recieve
