having been absent from this Country for some
time by past & finding my self Most Sevairly distressed with
my former Complaints. I beg you wil be so Very good as
favour me with your advice -- & I Should Esteem it
Very kind if you would be so Very good as take the trouble
to order your Servant to get the medicines from a proper
Lab↑er↑atory as I am afraid I could not get them so good
heire and please informe what they ammount to and
the money Shall be Sent Immeaditly - I Shal please
god be in Edinburgh at Whitsundy first when I shal with
great pleasure Apply of greatfuly repay you for your
trouble of advice - Mama is much distressed with
a Swelling in her legs↑g↑ and Feet which his Continued
for a Considerable time & is Very hurtful to her healh
and a great depression in her breathing please favour
me with your advice what you think would be proper
to relive her Complaints.

The Medicines I got heire had no good Effect which
makes me wish to give them a tryal from Edinburgh
as when they know they will be under your Instruction
it will {illeg} be of great advantage as they will
be obliged to give them of the Very best quality the
favour of your Answer in Course wil most greatly
oblidge.
