I wrote you about the beginning
of this month The purport of which was That I
had adhered strictly to your directions by continuing
to take the Pills beginning at one & increasing the
number to 7 or 8, before they made me squeamish
and that I had been almost free from my
complaint especially in the day time since making
the application as directed in your last Except some¬
times it returned during the night. But as I am
affraid that letter has been miscarried, as I have not
had the pleasure of hearing from you since that
period. I take this opportunity of informing you that
I have still adhered to your directions, and that
I have had only a few returns of my Trouble
since I wrote the above mentioned letter both through
the day and at night, but it was rather more
acute in the night than the day.

I now presume to beg the favour that you
would write me in course of post, if I shall still
adhere to your former directions, and if I shall continue
