Sir

Mr Rigby, who I consulted you formerly about;
& who visited you about a month ago at Edinburgh
to take your opinion of his case, has begged of me
to write you of his present situation, after taking
the medicines you prescribed for him:

He has in every respect followed your advice, &
finds himself very well; except that he is troubled
frequently with a head ach; which however he has
been subject to at different times, prior to his pre¬
sent disorder --- as when he bends his
head forward, he finds a giddiness on raising it
again; he wishes to know whither the cutting out
of his hair
would be of any advantage to him; tho
from its being very thin, one would hardly suppose
that it could prejudice him much

I am Sir your humble servant
R Patterson

P:S: His disorder you supposed
to be of the Epileptic kind
