For the Countess of Dunmore

Take an ounce of powdered Tartar Crystals, 3 drachms of Composite Jalap Powder, a ½ ounce of Lenitive Electuary, and enough Simple Syrup to make a thin Electuary. Label: Laxative Electuary, a teaspoonful to be taken for a Dose when occasion requires

Take five grains each of Salts of Nitre and ground Cinnamon, and twenty grains of prepared Crabs' Eyes. Mix to make a powder, and in this way make 14 Doses. Label: Cooling Powders one to be taken in a little Water every morning.
