Sir

Since I had the pleasure of seeing you
in Edinburgh I have Punctually followed the prescription
& Regimen you Ordered. and I find myself a good
deal better, tho the Cause is not totally removed.
as I still find a little Pain in my back, and more
in the right side than in the left. - within these
ten days Past I have Passed more Sand than I
was Sensible of before - The Costiveness still
continues - and I take the Oil you prescribed which
answers extremely well - I have now taken the
Solution a Month, the time you desired me to continue
to take it - I am with much Respect

Sir
Your most Obedient Humble Servant
