I am favourd with yours by this Nights
Post, but I am at a loss how to explain with propri¬
ety and in what Manner to Obey your Orders as to
coming to Town immediatly, Seeing, towards the Close
of your Letter you say I may Use the Cold Bath
with safety -- If You deseyr ↑a Tryall↑ here, before I undergo-
a Course of Mercury under your Eye & Mr. Woods
I could wish to know that Distinction before I sett
out, not only As every Jurney I take hurts me, but it
may happen a few Days tryall of the fresh Water
Bath may make some Alteration to the better, tho'
I have little hopes it will, for every day I am worse
from the Heat of Urene, Incress of Gross [Runnery?]
mean time shall begin the Bath here- I beg also to
know if you could with propriety (after haveng seen
one) prescribe to a skilled surgeon how, in regard

Confinement in Town will be very hard upon me, be¬
sides the Convenience & Agreeableness of being at Home
As to Diet it may do, from your Directions, tho at
the same time I am very [Sencible?], Mr. Woods Suffi¬
cency & Quality of his Medicines aught to Sway with
me, when under your Eye and from your Answer I shall
be [Bathed?] & prepare Accordingly I every am with Esteem
