Upon Receiveing the Inclosed Carde I went to Pilmuir
and found Mr Henderson much in the situation he himself disscribes the sweat
dropeing of him, a totall supression of urine Extreamly cosstive notwithstanding
taking the pills, Great tension and soreness in the underpart of his Belly
his pulse small and frequent,and his skin feeling cold and moist, and
complaining of a much Greater debility in his limbs and all below the [weal?]
I ordered for him an Injection of mustard powdered, which alltho he did not
fell any pain or heal yett he dischaged a considerable quantity of hardend Ex¬
crement I imediatly ordered another which had the same Effect, yett no dis¬
charge of Urine I then ordered a Blister cross his Back below the sector, and
if that stimulai dos not answer the purpose I propose taking of the urine by
the catheter which I am affraid most be the casse, as I now belive the
Bladder of urine and Gutts are in the same paralytic state with his limbs
The regemen yow prescribed has been tenaciously followed and further directed
will be obseerved by Doctor
