The numbness you complain of in your thighs
will I hope be removed by the cold bathing
but if ↑it↑ should continue it will be proper to
have them rubbed with a flesh brush either in the
evening or about an hour after you have ↑been↑ in the
cold bath. ↑The mustard & water cannot be applied with any advantage without interrupting
the flesh brush which I think ↑is↑ of more consequence.↑
I have now said everything that
I cannot recollect at present to be necessary but
if you shall have either doubts to move or questions
to put & shall be pleased to write me you may depend

Take 2 ounces of Ground Peruvian bark, an ounce of ground Wild Valerian root, 2 drachms of prepared Powdered steel, an ounce of orange peel Conserve, and enough simple Syrup to make an Electuary. Label: Cephalic Electuary the bigness of a nutmeg to be taken three times a day
