Agreably to your desire, & in order to your further advice
I shall endeavour to acquaint you with any particulars relating to Mr.
Kenneday since he came under your directions with (↑of↑) which I suppose
you would wish to be informed.

For several days after his return from Edinburgh & when he first begun
to take the Cupr: Ammoniac: he had frequent but mild returns of the
Fits
he lost his Ordinary Appetite for Food and which was re¬
markable became much more mild & tractable in his temper --
this last Circumstance was observed to follow immediately upon a
strict Observation of the Diet & Regimen prescribed antecedent to the use
of the medicine ---

We have been equally carefull in dosing the medicine according
to direction as with respect to his diet & Regimen & have reason
to think not without advantage -- The Dose with which we begun
was one Pill this we continued night & morning so long as it produced
the Effects intended Viz: of occasioning some degree of squeeamishness
of
stomach or Openness of Belly. - Of late he has taken two Pills
for a Dose attended with just the same Effects. -- All this while there has
been a plentifull discharge by the Seton ----

The Advantages of which we are sensible are – that his passions are

more moderate – his habit apparently less Gross & plethoric & he has been
free of the Fits for these four weeks past – he has indeed had longer
intermissions formerly – but from the above mentioned good appearances
we would hope his present betterness will continue – I am respectfully
