Revd Maxwell Kennedy. Londonderry ––


Disorder of the stomach evidently proceeds from an affection of his
kidnies –– Diet, should avoid all acescent or flatulent food or drink
no drink, but a little spirits & water, with a little Sugar - no souring
he ought not to lie so long in bed nor sleep so much as he usually does
and should take frequent gentle exercise on an easy going horse or in
a carriage on smooth roads –– the following Medicines maybe of service

Take five ounces of Rose Water, two ounces of simple cinnamon water, ten drachms of Simple Syrup, 2 drachms of Tartar Salt - Mix. Let a teaspoonful be taken per day in a wineglass of water with a drachm of Gum Arabic.

Take a drachm of powdered Uva Ursi leaf, should be taken twice a day -
