Gravestone in Crailing cemetery inscribed "To the memory of the Revd. Mr. ROBERT DEANS late Minister of the Gospel at Crailing who died 13.12.1788 in the 33rd year of his ministry". Son of Alexander Deans (d. 1725), minister of Birse, Aberdeenshire. Licensed by Presbytery of Irvine 1750; Minister of Crailing from 1756. He m. Elizabeth Smith (ID 5027) in 1765.
