A son of Provost George Drummond of Edinburgh, by his second marriage. Practised in Bristol. Formerly Treasurer and Physician to Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh. Married Margaret Bothwell, heiress of Glencorse. RCPE member. Was in Naples c. 1776 and met with James Murray of Broughton.
