Chamber Horse
Hobby Horse, Chamber Machine (also includes references to a 'spring deal', 'spring chair' or 'spring box'). Various types of "exercise machines" recommended for use indoors when wet weather prevents riding etc. They took two forms; one resembling a see-saw and the other consisting of a chair with a seat made of layered boards seperated by metal springs upon which one could bounce up and down.
