I was this day called to a gentleman
near George's Square whom you will
probably be desired ↑to see↑ to morrow. The time
will be from Eleven to one. I give you
this previous intimation that you may
order matters as conveniently as possible
to yourself & will be glad to know
where you will be found in the fore¬

Dear Sir
Your Most Obedient Humble Servant servant

Captain Fr. M. by violent exercise in the Muirs about the be¬
ginning of last harvest, had his whole Muscles overstrained
and were therefore easily affected with cold. Being exposed
to this about the beginning of winter, his neck and upper part
of his back was affected with some Rheumatic pains
which spread upwards on his head, gave him pain in the
Crown of it & pretty smart pains in both temples.
He was at several times affected with
fits of giddiness and frequently with fits of
deafness. Many of these symptoms have frequently recurred in
the winter especially upon his being affected with
fresh cold ––
