He suggests a 'weakness of nerves' as the sole ailment, acquired partly from her constitution and partly from 'the accidents which have happened'. He recommends the avoidance of cold and of any activity which 'might flurry her spirits', and when she is in Ireland, the 'frequent use of cold bathing' with the 'waters of Marrow'.
