The Consultation Letters of Dr William Cullen (1710-1790) at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
[ID:3623] From: Reverend Matthew Surtees / To: Dr Henry Cullen (Harry, Dr Henry, "the young doctor" ) / Regarding: Reverend Matthew Surtees (Patient), Mr John Surtees (Patient) / 18 January 1790 / (Incoming)
Letter from M. Surtees, to Henry Cullen, concerning his own case. He mentions Henry's father's indisposition but 'the advice which you give me appears to me...very judicious and therefore probably such as your father, if his health had permitted, would have given me'. He mentions also having received another letter from his brother John in Nice. Addressed to Dr Cullen junior. Dated 18th January 1789 but this is clearly meant for 1790 (or using old dating system that began the year in March).
