For Miss Balmain ---

Long delicate and frequently ailing & must require time to restablish
her health --- Nothing promises better than moderate travelling
and therefore she may set out on her Galloway Expedition taking
great care to regulate her days Journey &cc. --- and as the Weather is
still uncertain should avoid travelling in the morning & Evening or
in wet weather.

When settled in any place she should use regular exercise -
walking, always in the most moderate manner --- and she must
depend on a carriage or rather on horseback --- ---

Diet milk & Grain - or light pudding --- ---

While liable to looseness - she must avoid broths roots
Greens or fruit - when her belly is firmer she may take a
little of any of these. ---

I am clear that Animal food is not safe for - but she
may take a little bit of Chicken or other light thing if
she does not take it often nor make a meal of it ---

Ordinary drink Water - Milk & Water Barley
Water or Gruel - & no malt nor Spirituous liquor --
Whey & Buttermilk must be avoided while she is liable
to any Looseness

Tea very safe for her
