Dear Sir

I received your letter of the 12th. Since which
Jamie has continued to follow the Diet prescribed, and
has also had the plaister on his head, which sometimes
run pretty much, and last Wednesday he took the last
Dose of Phisic, continued all along very well, only on
fryday last for some hours he had some triffling touches
of the headach, and more like a Dizziness than aching
but as it soon left him he did not mention it till yesterday
expecting it wou'd return when the Leeches were to be put
on, but no return of it, only a little swelling in his face
yesterday, not to such a Degree as formerly, yet last night at
10 oClock he was taken standing by the bed side duking his
head,, and in the same manner as formerly, this day he has
had fewer headachs than usual after the fits, for some
considerable time past, however he is willing to persevere
strictly to your method for some time longer. I thought
it proper to let you know what passes with regard to him
he has recovered his strength under the Spare Diet.

I expect Sandie would leave London yesterday or this day
only, and probably in a few days call on you.

I am very Respectfully
Dear Sir
your most obedient humble servant

1: It is unclear why Cullen(?) has added this list of minerals to this letter, but they may relate to an Edinburgh lecture (this was the last term in which he gave formal lectures on Chemistry).
