The Consultation Letters of Dr William Cullen (1710-1790) at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
[ID:5802] From: Dr William Cullen (Professor Cullen) / To: Reverend Thomas Urquhart (of Rosskeen) / Regarding: Mr Urquhart? (Patient) / 30 March 1789 / (Outgoing)
Reply to the Revd. Mr. Urquhart concerning an unnamed patient, 'the Young Man who has a tumour under his tongue'. Cullen acknowledges it is a surgical case, but 'though the subject does not properly belong to my Province, I shall give you upon it the best opinion I can'. He recommends a surgeon should extirpate the growth, but it depends whether a good surgeon can be found in the country or the boy can be brought to town.
