The Consultation Letters of Dr William Cullen (1710-1790) at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
[ID:5732] From: Dr William Cullen (Professor Cullen) / To: Mr John Surtees / Regarding: Mr John Surtees (Patient) / 2 October 1788 / (Outgoing)
Reply to John Surtees, Esqr. concerning his own case, in response to the letter Cullen had received the previous day (Doc ID 3254). Cullen is 'still of opinion that your ailments depend very much upon the nervous constitution of your lungs', but gives a new prescription to tackle the erisypelas, flushings and nosebleeds which Surtees has reported. He say, 'you are right in asking for the original advice that I gave in a letter to Mr. Ingham, and which was improperly left in my hands when you was last in Edr.' and returns it (probably the regimen set out in Doc ID 5547).
