Mr. Glassel
Dear Sir,

I am favoured with yours concerning
Mr Glassel and am very sorry to find he has met
with any interruption in the course he intended.
I consider this accident as entirely Gouty and
I hope it shall be of Service to his Gouty com¬
plaints
and at the same time I hope it
shall prove but a short interruption which
I still think is as proper and necessary as ever
Your prescription of the Tinct Rhei amara
seems to me very proper providing it goes no
further than keeping his belly regular. I
am still of opinion that except upon occasion
of some accident hardly any medecine [is pro¬]
per upon the road but he may continue to take the
Soap pills and occasionally the Soap and Rhubarb as
before advised with best Compliments to him and Mrs.
Glassel I am [always with] great regard

Dear Sir your
most [obedient Servant]
William Cullen
