For Mrs Fortescue --

Take one drachm of very good Borage, half a drachm of Nitre, one drachm and a half of the purest white Sugar. Crush all together until you have a fine powder, then add one ounce and an half of simple Syrup, crushing it again in order to mix it well. Label: Healing Syrup. A few drops to be laid upon the tongue, diffused in the mouth and swallowed leisurely two or three times a day.

Signa Healing Syrup a few drops to be laid upon
