Mr Home of Wedderburn.


Complaints more troublesome than dangerous. -
The Principal remedy Cold bathing by a Chamber Bath.
The Water from a spring or pit well - At first ten Scotch
Pints - at length the fill of the Cylinder.
At first every 2d or 3d day; At last every morning
before breakfast & before he engages in amy exercise
& if his Complaints continue or recurr - to be continued thro
Winter as well as summer. -


Fresh air & gentle exercise - Moderate walking
but going on horseback better - He must be reconciled
to riding by an easy motion of his horse at first &c.
Should not be nice in the choice of weather if he avoids
takes the proper precautions against cold. -


Should never take a carriage but on a journey
of some length and in precarious weather --


Diet - not nice - any ordinary fare, avoiding
what he knows to be heavy or of difficult digestion
to his Stomach - & particularly to make light
suppers.
No danger of excess in strong drink, but at
the same time need not avoid it altogether -
