For Thos Irwine Esqr.

Your breast complaint I can advise nothing more than as
before live moderately & be moderate in all your
motions ---

I regret your want of Appetite; but not the want
of it for animal food - as Vegetables & milk much fitter
for your blood

For the itchiness I advise the following ℞

Take two ounces of Soluble Tartar, two ounces of Saltpetre, two ounces of plain Cinnamon water, five ounces of spring water, and one ounce of Simple syrup. Dissolve and strain. Label: Cooling Solution. It should keep the belly regular but not purge. Of which take two spoons in two-and-a-half pounds of Spring water every morning and one spoon in a quarter pound of Spring water every night.
