For Mr Beaumont's child.


I apprehend no danger; and particularly when the
Eruption is on his skin any where, no danger to the
stomach --- I wish you had said if he continued the
Detergent water, for I would apply it to every part
where the Eruption comes -- & whenever the Eruption
oozes, apply the ointment to it, & I hope while the
Internal medicines continues to be employed, that these ap¬
plications will mend the Eruption on his body as
they did that on his face. At least they must be
applied & without effect before I advise any thing
else. The season is favourable & now that you have done
so much, you may completely wean him, tho I wont
promise that it will mend the Eruption. In his
present circumstances I cannot advise Inoculation
