For the same -------


I expect your urethra & will become quite sound but however well
it may seem, you must always consider it as a weak part & may be
hurt by any intemperance. As the obstruction is not quite removed
you are right in employing the Bougie but you can never
know exactly know the state of the parts till you lay aside
the Bougies for a day or two for they keep up a tendency.
Riding & walking hurtful while employing the Bougie &
even when not, must be with great caution. Riding [is only?]
for general health & I hope you have neither much occa¬
sion for it, nor can do it to any purpose in Winter.


Difficult however your other question. While you
use the Bougies & the parts are tender intercourse with the
Sex may do much harm in the same way as riding.
