Miss Gordon


She is to begin the Corstorphin water by degrees, the
first day a single gill, every day after a gill more till the
till she can take a Choppin every morning When she comes
to more than half a muchkin, take it in divided draughts
½ hour between each, & in a fair morning, walk about
between them, in open air. The whole of the water
should be taken in the morning, so as to finish ½ hour
or an hour before breakfast & after finishing the water she
[should?] continue to walk about till breakfast. When she
comes the length of a Choppin every morning if it do not
move her belly once aday take a tablespoonful of the solution
she has been taking for some time past take it in the first
draught of the water. Continue the Pills every 2d night at bed¬
time. On horseback every forenoon. Walk a good deal
but citra 1 heat or fatigue. During the Corstorphin water
her Diet much as it has been. Weak bohea tea with
bread & butter at breakfast Some meat not much at dinner
making up with broth, vegetables, but sparingly of fruit. As
supper any kind of milk, meat. Ordinary drink plain
water. No fermented liquors.
