The Consultation Letters of Dr William Cullen (1710-1790) at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh

[ID:3336] From: Dr William Elliot (of Arkleton; Elliott) / To: Dr William Cullen (Professor Cullen) / Regarding: Mr A Pringle (A.P., Mr Pringle's Son) (Patient) / 27 April 1788 / (Incoming)

Case history from William Elliot, for Drs Cullen and Monro, concerning the case of 'A. P[ringle], which was sent as an enclosure in ID:3023. Master Pringle is a child of about 10. Since 1786, he has had panic attacks and speaks little, apparently since taking literally his nurse's stories of ghosts and the Devil. He has other unusual behaviours which Elliot believes may be congenital. Elliot now considers some form of hydrocephalus, despite his head feeling normal. Drs Douglas and Rutherford have previously been consulted.
